Dihydroboldenone Cypionate
Mode of action of medicine:
Dihydroboldeonone Cypionate is a drug whose mode of action is to bind to the androgen receptor, thereby activating the gene expression which leads to growth and development of male sex organs and secondary sexual characteristics. In the body, it is converted to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) which is an even more potent form of testosterone that is responsible for most of its anabolic and androgenic effects.
Indications
Dihydroboldeonone Cypionate is administered for replacement therapy in the male in disorders with deficiency or absence of endogenous testosterone, such as
primary hypogonadism (congenital or acquired) and hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (congenital or acquired).
Contraindications:
Dihydroboldeonone Cypionate is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to the drug, men with carcinoma of the breast, men with known or suspected carcinoma of the prostate gland, pregnant women, and in patients with severe cardiac, hepatic or renal disease.
Precautions
Benign prostatic hypertrophy patients may experience acute urethral obstruction. Priapism or hypersexuality may arise. Oligospermia may be caused by long-term administration or high dose. Effect on bone maturation should be monitored by bone age of the wrist and hand every 6 months. Androgen therapy in children can promote bone maturation without leading to compensatory increase in linear growth.
Drug interactions:
Dihydroboldeone Cypionate may interact with anticoagulants, oral hypoglycemics, and corticosteroids, whose effect may be altered. Other combinations with anabolic steroids may enhance side effects too, for which proper attention and observation on the part of healthcare professionals is needed.
Dosage:
The dose of Dihydroboldenone Cypionate recommended is 200-400mg per week for men, administered through intramuscular injection. Administration of the steroid in females is not advisable due to virilization risk.
